Heather Watson could not make it two wins in two days as she exited the women's doubles at the first-round stage. Watson, who saved three match points on her way to beating Ksenia Pervak in the second round of the singles on Wednesday, and partner Marina Erakovic from New Zealand went down 6-4 6-0 to ninth seeds Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Kveta Peschke. There was also disappointment for two more Britons - Jamie Delgado and Ken Skupski - as they were beaten 6-0 6-7 (2/7) 6-3 by Polish pair Tomasz Bednarek and Jerzy Janowicz in the men's event. |
